Project: Health Care for Young Mothers and Children: Child Focussed Community Development and Women Empowerment in 4 villages of Mandla, Madhya Pradesh, India

Start date: August 2013, End date: July 2015

Sickness like Malaria, jaundice, typhoid etc. is common in this area. Madhya Pradesh stands in the first line for Malnutrition. Due to poor agricultural practices food security is only for 5-6 months in a year, in this area. Young mothers and children are the victims of this situation and when they become sick a proper medical care is beyond their reach. This project envisages to organise women and give them health care classes and help them with medical care and create a health consciousness among these people. The project also envisages to help the children of 0-14 years of age to have a better involvement in their studies and so to create a taste for study in them.
